New Delhi, Oct 17: Sanjay Singh, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, and other demonstrators were held by Delhi Police on Monday for allegedly breaking prohibitory orders outside the CBI headquarters, according to officials.
Singh and other demonstrators were outside the CBI office, where Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister of Delhi, was being questioned about alleged corruption in the creation and application of the excise policy.
According to a senior police official, Sanjay Singh, an AAP member, and other demonstrators were held for obstructing the CGO complex’s operations in violation of CrPC section 144. The Code of Criminal Procedure’s Section 144 forbids gatherings of four or more people.
