Ranchi, Sept.7: A sleuth of the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) trapped one of the block development officers (BDOs) of the state accepting Rs 45000 as a bribe from the beneficiary of the poultry development scheme.
The BDO, Vinay Kumar, was posted at Mandu. The ACB team trapped him at his official residence in Hazaribagh.
The ACB got the information about the corrupt practice of the BDO through Upendra Singh, Mukhia of Manjhla Chumba, from whom demand of bribe was put in the name of development of poultry shed against his will.
“As the matter reached before the ACB, the information was verified and a trap was laid,” an ACB official said.
