‘Acchi Adat’ campaign helps children learn about cleanliness in Khunti

Ranchi, March 1: Acchi Adat campaign was run among the villagers by Prachi Foundation Ranchi in collaboration with IJK Services Pvt Ltd in 41 villages of Torpa and Karra blocks under Khunti district and 41 villages in Ormanjhi block of Ranchi district.

 

Under this campaign, a general meeting of the villagers was held with the children. In the meeting, information was given about the methods and benefits of washing hands, methods and benefits of cutting nails and wearing masks.

 

At the village level, each person was given masks and each family was given a nail cutter. Apart from this good habit corner was selected at the Anganwadi center, school and public place of the village.

 

The campaign aimed to create awareness about corner cleanliness. Posters related to hand washing, cutting nails and applying masks in the corner were pasted in the wall according to mental acceptance that could be made in the children.

 

Tap for washing hands has been placed in the corner to ensure that children could wash their hands with soap in less water. In this program, there was cooperation of Block Development Officer, BPM (JSLPS) and BLM of Deendayal Gram Swalamban Yojna and public motivators.
