Mumbai, Jan 1: Actress Mrunal Thakur on Saturday shared in her Instagram account that she had tested positive for Covid-19. She indicated that she is experiencing very minor symptoms and that she is in good health.
“I have tested positive for COVID-19. As of today, I have mild symptoms but I’m feeling ok and have isolated myself. I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals.” She added in her statement, “If you have been in contact with me, request you to please, please get tested immediately. Stay safe everyone,” read her Instagram story.
The release date of Mrunal Thakur’s upcoming film ‘Jersey’ was postponed earlier this week due to increase in Covid cases across India. The movie was supposed to come out on December 31.
“In view of the current circumstances and new Covid guidelines, we as a team, feel it is prudent to postpone the release of Jersey. We will see you as soon as we can with our film in 2022. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy new year,” film’s lead actor Shahid Kapoor wrote.
In the year 2021, Mrunal Thakur had a jam-packed schedule. She starred alongside Farhan Akhtar in the film Toofaan. The actress later acted alongside Kartik Aaryan in Dhamaka as a news reporter. Jersey, which was set to be released on December 31 but has already been postponed, also features her.
Mrunal Thakur is well known for her roles in films such as Super 30, Batla House, Love Sonia, and Ghost Stories.
