Ranchi, June 15: From the trailer creating a meme fest in no time and getting trolled by the netizens for the film’s animation, to crashing down the leading online ticketing platform on India’s BookMyShow and becoming one of the most anticipated films in 2023, this Om Raut directorial, mythological film Adipurush, featuring Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti Sanon as Sita and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh is turning out to be gigantic.
A June 16 opener, its advance bookings have crossed 1 million. As soon as the tickets were made available online, websites like Paytm and BookMyShow crashed due to its excessive demand, putting a doubt whether the technology can meet the increasing demands of the audiences. Unable to book tickets online now fans are expressing their disappointment as well as high expectations on Twitter making it a trend.
“It’s going to be one of the biggest films this quarter. We are expecting a huge colossal opening of Rs 80-85 crore (on the opening day)”, tweeted the PVR CO-CEO Gautam Dutta. But it is also to see if this anticipation is created because the audiences are okay to watch a not upto-the-standards VFX movie as long as their favourite actors Prabhas as well as Kriti Sanon are starring in it.
