Adityapur: Masked miscreants rob Rs 70 lakh jewellery from shop

Adityapur, Aug 6: Masked miscreants on Sunday looted jewellery worth about Rs 70 lakh at the Ishwar Lal jewellery shop at Gamharia Bazar in Adityapur police station area. A total of three miscreants had entered the shop on the pretext of buying jewellery for marriage. After seeing the jewellery, the miscreants put a pistol on the jeweller’s temple and filled the precious jewellery kept in the shop in a bag and kept walking. The miscreants dropped the shutter of the shop after leaving the shop. Due to this, the people around did not even get a clue.

The incident took place around 11 o’clock in the day. The miscreants have also taken away CCTV cameras and DVRs with them. Along with this, the miscreants also broke the mobile of the staff of the shop so that they could not inform anyone by phone immediately.

After getting the information about the incident, the police of Adityapur and Gamharia police stations reached the spot and started investigating the matter. It is being told that all the miscreants came wearing helmets. Police are trying to investigate the incident of loot with the help of CCTV footage installed in nearby shops. According to the jewellers, the scoundrels have looted the jewellery worth about Rs 70 lakhs. Station in-charge Rajan Kumar himself is engaged in the investigation after reaching the jewellery shop.
