Adityapur, July 23: The Adityapur police were seen in action on Saturday against those doing illegal business of brown sugar. A campaign was conducted in the area under the leadership of station in-charge Rajan Kumar. The police got success in this campaign.
Station in-charge Rajan Kumar said that on Saturday night, he conducted a special raid campaign around the Muslim colony, in which 9 people, including 2 drug peddlers, have been detained for their involvement in the business of brown sugar. The interrogation of all is going on in the police station. He told that he wants to reach the root of this business, for which cooperation is being received from the local people. With the aim of eradicating the drug business, he has started this campaign by forming a team on the instructions of the top officials of the district, which will continue continuously.
He said that there is a shortage of female and male force in the police station. He has demanded this from the district officials. As soon as the force is available, they will run this campaign more rapidly. In this regard, it has also been said to keep the names of informers secret and reward them.
Notably, as soon as a festival comes, this business of drugs gets intensified. During this, criminal incidents also increase. In view of this, the Adityapur police have geared up and are running a campaign keeping a close watch on the criminals released from jail.
