Ranchi, Dec 10: The JPSC candidates who have been agitating over the irregularities in JPSC’s PT examination met with the governor, Ramesh Bais, at Raj Bhawan today and handed over the evidence of rigging to him.
The Jharkhand State Student Union claims that the general category applicants passed the JPSC preliminary test with a score of 148 and the scheduled tribal candidates with a score of 128.
However, the JPSC limit was set at 260 points for the general category and 230 points for scheduled tribes. The JPSC candidates met with the Governor with these shards of proof.
Manoj Yadav, a member of Jharkhand State Student informed that the Governor read the entire file for 10 minutes. “The Governor listened carefully to the words of the candidates and assured them that he will seriously look into this issue and take the matter further,” he added.
On the other hand, Devendra Nath Mahto said: “We are satisfied with the assurance of the Governor. His Excellency has accepted that there have been errors in the PT examination and we hope that the governor will make a big decision soon in the interest of the students and the JPSC PT exam will be cancelled.”
In support of the candidates, BJP MLA Naveen Jaiswal had said that this is a conspiracy of the Hemant government.
“Hemant government is playing with the future of the students and we stand with the agitating candidates,” Jaiswal said.
Padmashree Madhu Mansoori had also said in support of the agitating candidate that in 21 years only seven exams were taken which is very wrong.
Notably, in some centers, the candidates appearing in the examination have been declared successful by serial number. In a serial, 18 out of 20 students have been declared successful. Candidates say that the remaining two candidates did not appear in the examination. It is also being said that the candidates sitting in the examination at one center each in Sahibganj and Lohardaga have passed this examination by serial number.
Questions have been raised on the declaration of the result of these consecutive number candidates:
