Ranchi, July 6: The recruitment process for Agniveers in Jharkhand has been started in all the 24 districts of the state. For this, online registration has been started from July 5, which will run till August 3.
The youths will have to register for the recruitment on the official website of Indian Army www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Full details of the recruitment process will be available on the website. After that they will get their admit card.
The eligible youth can participate in the recruitment rally by printing the admit card. At the time of resumption, candidates will have to bring a rally admit card, matriculation/12th registration card, admit card, original mark sheet, board certificate, residential certificate, character certificate, Aadhar card, NCC and sports certificate, 20 colour photographs.
A recruitment rally will be organized in the state capital Ranchi from September 5 to September 22 at Morhabadi ground. Candidates will start getting admit cards on their email id from August 20. Keeping in mind the rush in trains and buses during recruitment, the state government will also take help from the district administration for security and other arrangements.
Agniveers will be recruited for five categories in the rally to be held in Ranchi. These categories are – Agniveer General Duty, Agniveer Technical, Agniveer Storekeeper, Agniveer Tradesman 10th Pass and Agniveer Tradesman 8th Pass. The date of birth of the candidates should be between 1st October 1999 to 1st April 2005 to be included in the recruitment of all categories.
The minimum educational qualification for different categories is as follows
Agniveer General Duty: Passed in Matriculation with minimum 45% marks
Agniveer Storekeeper: 10+2 in any stream with minimum 60% marks
Agniveer Technical: 10+2 Science pass with minimum 50% marks
Agniveer Tradesman 10th Pass: Matriculation pass with minimum 33% marks in each subject
Agniveer Tradesman 8th pass: 8th pass with minimum 33% marks in each subject
The army has issued an advisory to the candidates to stay away from touts. Military officials say that the process of recruitment in the army is completely fair and transparent. So the candidates should not get fooled by anyone. If someone asks for money in the name of restoration, or demands anything else, then do not fall for them and complain about it.
The Indian Air Force has received around 7.50 lakh applications till Tuesday under the Agnipath Recruitment Scheme. The online registration started from 24th June and was completed on 5th July. During this, 7,49,899 applications have been received. This is the largest number of applications received in any recruitment cycle of the Air Force. Earlier, a maximum 6,31,528 applications were received in the Air Force.
The government had announced the Agnipath scheme on June 14. Under this, youth in the age group of 17-and-a-half to 21 years will be recruited into the armed forces for a tenure of four years. Of these, 25% will be inducted for regular service at a later stage. Violent demonstrations were held against this in many parts of the country. On June 16, the government had increased the upper age limit for recruitment from 21 years to 23 years for this time.
