Ajit Dada’s Final Journey Begins from Katewadi with Emotional Farewells

Baramati: The final journey of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar began from Katewadi, Baramati, passing through various parts of the city before reaching the Vidya Pratishthan Ground, where his cremation will be held with full state honours. Earlier, he was given a state tribute in Baramati. His wife Sunetra Pawar, sons Parth and Jay Pawar, accompanied the procession.

Supporters Chant “Ajit Dada Amar Rahein”

Prominent leaders including NCP (SCP) chief Sharad Pawar and MNS chief Raj Thackeray visited Ajit Pawar’s residence to pay their respects. Thousands of Baramati residents gathered for a final glimpse of their beloved leader. The atmosphere was deeply emotional, with supporters chanting slogans like “Ajit Dada Amar Rahein” in tearful tribute.

Top Leaders and Investigation Underway

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are among the leaders expected to attend the cremation. Meanwhile, Pune Rural Police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) at the Baramati Taluka Police Station. DGCA and forensic teams are investigating the crash site, and the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) confirmed the recovery of the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder.

PSO Vidip Jadhav Cremated in Satara

Ajit Pawar’s personal security officer (PSO) Vidip Dilip Jadhav was cremated last night in his native village in Satara, where his young son performed the last rites. Jadhav was one of the five victims aboard the ill-fated charter plane that crashed in Baramati.
