Dhanbad, May 29: Jathedar Singh Saheb of Amritsar Akal Takht Gyani Harprit Singh performed’ Dastarbandi of 105 Sikh boys of Jharkhand’s different districts at Takht Sri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib.
East India president of Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee Sardar Suraj Singh Nalwa giving this information from Patna Sahib said that 525 Sikh boys from 12 states, including Jharkhand, Bihar, Bengal, Odisha and others participated in the third Koumi Dastarbandi Samagam organized by Takht Sri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib committee. Jathedar Singh Saheb of Amritsar Akhal Takht Gyani Harprit Singh performed’ their Dastarbandi.
On the occasion, while addressing the Sangat, Jathedar Sardar Harprit Singh said that boys are considered fortunate whose Dastarbandi has been performed by Panch Pyara at Takht Sahiban.
Dastarbandi is considered a very important and sacred event for Sikh boys in their life in which they are tied turban after ritual first time.
Siromani committee presented turban to participants boys at Patna Sahib Samagam on Sunday. This was third time such a Samagam was organized in the country. On this auspicious occasion, executive president of Takht Saheb Jathedar Gyani Baldeo Singh, Baba Gurwinger Singh Kar Seva Bhuri Balon, Baba Gurnam Singh, Kar Seva Delhi were also present.
Takht Sri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib president Jagjot Singh Sohi, vice-president- Lakhwinder Singh, Gurwinder Singh ,general secretary Sardar Indrajit Singh, secretary Harbansh Singh felicitated Jathedar Harprit Singh.
The Committee members expressed their gratitude to the parents of children who brought their siblings for Dastarbandi and urged them to maintain dignity of Dastarbandi.
Dhanbad Gurudwara Committee president Sardar Sewa Singh said besides boys from Jharkhand , Gurudwara Committee president of Ranchi, Berma, Bhurkunda and other districts also attended the Samagam.
