Ranchi, April 20: The Jharkhand government’s Akanksha scheme has given opportunities to a total of 549 students to take up engineering and medical preparation in Ranchi.
In 2021, four students were selected in JEE Advanced after getting coaching under this scheme. One student got selected in IIIT, one in BIT and one in AIIMS.
Under the scheme, it provides free study materials and a child friendly learning environment for students preparing for engineering and medical entrance exams. Jharkhand Academic Council conducts state level selection test for class XI students for admission into Akanksha residential coaching and Akanksha Kendra located in Ranchi.
The coaching is provided at Akanksha Kendra in District School, Ranchi. Initially, 40 students were selected for engineering batch and 40 for medical, which has now gone up to 75 for medical and 100 for engineering.
Students study in a competitive environment and are provided with free textbooks, free accommodation, computer education and coaching facility.
There are plans to provide free residential NTSE and Olympiad coaching to 100 children of class VIII to X in DIET campus located at Ratu. There is also a plan to provide CLAT and NDA coaching to 50 students of class XI and 50 of class XII for enrollment in law colleges.
All these students will be provided with free textbooks, free accommodation, computer education and best coaching facilities and other facilities.
