Mumbai, Dec.3: Mirzapur’s Guddu bhaiya aka Ali Fazal has joined the cast of Kandahar, a film starring renowned hollywood actor, Gerard Butler. He will play one of the key roles in this action-thriller movie which is based on true events.

Kandahar is based on a script written by Ric Roman Waugh and Mitchell LaFortune, a former military intelligence officer. Mitchell’s experiences in Afghanistan with the Defense Intelligence Agency inspired the storyline. The filming of Kandahar is anticipated to begin soon in Saudi Arabia. Thunder Road Films, G-BASE, and Capstone Group are producing the film.

Death on the Nile, starring Russell Brand and Gal Gadot, is Ali Fazal’s forthcoming Hollywood film, which will be released in February 2022. The film is a sequel to the 2017 film Murder on the Orient Express, and is based on Agatha Christie’s novel of the same name.
