The look has sparked considerable curiosity among fans, though the makers are yet to reveal full details about her character. What is clear from the glimpse is that “Kanta” appears set to play a significant role in the film’s story, with her connection to Rajinikanth’s character expected to unfold only after release.
Reports Suggest She May Play Mithun Chakraborty’s Daughter
According to media reports, Vidya Balan may be playing the eldest daughter of Mithun Chakraborty, who is reportedly essaying a villainous role in the film. However, the makers have not yet officially confirmed details about her character or her relationship with Mithun Chakraborty’s character.
S.J. Suryah and Sooraj Venjaramoodu Also Join the Cast
Alongside Vidya Balan, S.J. Suryah and Sooraj Venjaramoodu will also play key roles in “Jailer 2.” Suryah plays a character named Bodhi and will be sharing screen space with Rajinikanth for the first time. Venjaramoodu’s look was released earlier as well, showing him stepping out of a car with a cigar in hand.
A Sequel to the 2023 Blockbuster “Jailer”
“Jailer 2” is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, who has also worked on the film’s story and screenplay. It is the sequel to Rajinikanth’s 2023 blockbuster “Jailer,” in which he played the widely loved character Muthuvel Pandian. Set for release on October 15, the film features an ensemble cast including Rajinikanth, Vidya Balan, Mithun Chakraborty, S.J. Suryah and Sooraj Venjaramoodu.
