New Delhi, Dec 6: The Winter Session all-party meeting got underway on Tuesday in the Parliament Library Building.
Several leaders, including Harsimrat Kaur Badal (SAD), Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury (Congress), and DMK MP TR Baalu are present at the meeting, in addition to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi.
Beginning on December 7 and concluding on December 29, the Winter Session will take place. Due to the timing of the Gujarat election, the session had to be postponed by a month as well.
A day before the beginning of the Winter Session of Parliament on Wednesday, the Rajya Sabha Secretariat published a Code of Conduct for its members.
There will be a total of 17 working days during the winter session, which will last through December 29, 2022.
On the first day, the Lok Sabha will pay respects to the members who passed away during the intersession. Mulayam Singh Yadav, the founder of the Samajwadi Party, passed away in October.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar’s first session as Rajya Sabha chairman will be this one. Parliament’s monsoon session took place from July 18 to August 8.
16 new laws are on the union government’s agenda for the winter session of Parliament, which starts on December 7.
