New Delhi, Jan 5: The plane carrying Home Minister Amit Shah had to make an emergency landing at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati, on Wednesday evening.
Due to bad weather, the Home Minister who was travelling to Agartala was unable to land.
After spending the night at the Hotel Radisson Blu in Guwahati, Amit Shah departs for Agartala on Thursday morning to kick off the Rath Yatra for the Tripura assembly elections.
Shah just made a safe landing at the airport in Guwahati. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister, welcomed him.
Amit Shah, the home minister, will launch the Bharatiya Janata Party’s election campaign in Tripura tomorrow. Shah was scheduled to arrive in Agartala tonight. But because of bad weather in Agartala, his flight had to land in Guwahati at 10:45.
