Patna: Ahead of JDU candidate Neeraj Kumar filing his nomination for the Patna Graduates’ seat in the Bihar Legislative Council elections, Nitish Kumar called on Union Minister and JDU MP Lalan Singh at his residence and held closed-door talks with him for about 20 minutes, as political activity heats up in the state.
Meeting Linked to Ongoing Party Dispute
The meeting is being linked to the growing feud between Mokama MLA Anant Singh and MLC Neeraj Kumar. It is believed that the two leaders discussed in detail the dispute with Anant Singh and the situation it has created within the party. There is also speculation that, following the meeting between the two senior leaders, the row between Anant Singh and Neeraj Kumar may be resolved.
Rivals Continue Trading Charges
For several days, the dispute between the two leaders has been escalating, with both trading allegations. Anant Singh has repeatedly levelled serious charges against Neeraj Kumar and sought justice from the party leadership, while Neeraj Kumar has also put forth his side and continues to attack Anant Singh. It remains to be seen whether the row is settled after the Nitish-Lalan meeting.
