Hyderabad, Sept 12: A court on Tuesday denied the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu’s request for house custody. Chandrababu Naidu was arrested last week in connection with an alleged multi-crore scam.
The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Court in Vijayawada agreed with the CID’s argument in the case on Tuesday and rejected Chandrababu Naidu’s request for house remand.
The leader of the Telugu Desam Party, N Chandrababu, was arrested on Saturday.
According to Andhra Pradesh CID Chief N Sanjay, he was arrested in connection with a fraud case involving the embezzlement of funds from the Skill Development Corporation, which cost the state government Rs 300 crore in losses.
Chandrababu Naidu was sent in judicial custody for 14 days on Sunday by a local court in Vijayawada.
