Imphal, July 2: The Manipur Mountaineering and Tracking Association reported on Saturday that another landslide had occurred close to the scene of the tragedy in Noney, Manipur.
On Saturday morning, more teams were sent out to help with the hunt.
This occurs at a time when Manipur is still recovering from a previous landslide that struck the Tupul general area of Manipur and resulted in 24 deaths so far.
The landslide occurred on the night between Wednesday and Thursday close to the company position of the 107 Territorial Army of the Indian Army stationed close to Tupul Railway Station to guard the under-construction Jiribam to Imphal railway line.
According to the North-East Frontier Railway CPRO, the Tupul station building of the ongoing Jiribam-Imphal new line project was damaged by the landslide brought on by the nonstop rain.
