Around 100 athletes take part in hockey selection trial at Chaibasa

Ranchi, Dec 17: Around 100 athletes from all the blocks of West Singhbhum district participated in the hockey selection trial being organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at Association Football Stadium in Chaibasa.

The selected athletes will be sent to a residential training centre run by Jharkhand Government and the Center for Excellence and will receive training.

Moreover, the state government will provide international-level high training and all facilities to the budding athletes.

Hockey’s Dronacharya Narendra Saini, Olympian Manohar Topno along with Raju Sahu as deputed selectors by the sports department Athletics coach was present as well as District Sports Officer Rajesh Kumar Chaudhary and Secretary of West Singhbhum District Hockey Association Veer Singh Munda were present.
