Asia Cup 2022: India to face Pakistan today

After four years, team India will clash with Pakistan for second time in 8 days

New Delhi, Sept 4: India and Pakistan will meet again in the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup 2022 on September 4.

The first match between these two teams took held on August 28 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, with India winning by 5 wickets in a final-over thriller. India defeated Hong Kong in the second game of the league stage to become the first team from Group A to qualify for the Super 4 stage.

Pakistan, on the other hand, defeated Hong Kong by 155 runs in their second game to qualify for Super 4. On September 4, India and Pakistan will face off in the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup 2022 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Pakistan were given a big blow ahead of the match as pacer Shahnawaz was ruled out of the match. For India, Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury and Axar Patel has been named as his replacement.

The match will begin at 07:30 p.m. IST, following the toss at 07:00 p.m. IST. Both teams can compete in the Asia Cup final again in 2022 if they win two of their three Super 4 games.

India Playing XI: Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Dinesh Karthik, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan, Yuzvendra Chahal.

Pakistan Playing XI: Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Khushdil Shah, Iftikhar Ahmed, Asif Ali, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, Shahnawaz Dahani.
