Ranchi, July 20: The morale of criminals has become high in the state. Hardly six hours after a cattle smuggler travelling on a pickup van mowed down a sub-inspector on the outskirts of Ranchi, two motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire on the jail of Giridih Central Jail, Pramod Kumar.
The incident took place near Dandidih Bridge on Tundi road. Though the jailor travelling on a Tata Sumo remained unhurt in the attack but it exposed the rising morale of the criminals who dare to attack jail authority and police.
SDPO Anil Kumar Singh and Inspector Vinay Kumar Ram have reached the spot and started an investigation.
