Ranchi, Dec.26: Ayushmaan Bharat Yojana is facing IT hurdles in Jharkhand.
This was reflected after over 2000 patients depending on Ayushmaan Bharat Yojana for their treatment could not take advantage of the scheme.
A RIMS insider informed this saying the situation arose when a portal where patients are registered to take benefit of the scheme did not open.
“Patients having Ayushmaan cards either returned or arranged money from alternative sources for treatment,” the RIMS insider said.
RIMS PRO Dr Rajeev Ranjan Kumar confirmed the situation saying the situation has come across the state due to the process of migration of Ayushmaan data from portal 1 to portal 2. He said the information regarding the problem has been communicated to the concerned official.
Kumar, however, said proper help is being extended to poor patients. “Those who have ration red or yellow cards are being provided treatment with the permission of department heads and other senior authorities of RIMS,” he said.
Contacted JAP-IT CEO Uma Shankar Singh for his comment he directed the question towards National Informatics Centre (NIC) officials.
NIC officials could not be contacted for their comments when called on their official number available on the official website. An official of the IT department said the situation is a failure of NIC officials saying ‘if migration of data is required to be done it should be done in stages. It is planned in such a way that migration could be done overnight.’
