Ranchi, Nov.2: State Congress executive president and Mandar MLA Bandhu Tirkey demanded a probe into the matter of financial irregularities of Netarhat Residential School during his hour-long meeting with chief minister Hemant Soren at his residence today.
Tirkey, who is also former education minister of the state, informed CM Soren regarding forgery in admission in the prestigious school of the state, which has given several IAS and IPS officers and demanded proper action against the erring officials after a thorough probe.
Tirkey on the occasion also asked the CM for the construction of Itki More Road in his constituency and urged him to talk to agitating auxiliary police agitating for regularisation of their service for several days at Morabadi ground in the city heart.
Other matters discussed during the meeting included the constitution of the 20-point implementation committee, immediate completion of model school to start academic work, fixing time to meet the governor for a discussion on Sarna religion code in next census and proper initiative for issuance of caste certificate to those tribal boys and girls who are deprived of the same due to clerical mistake in the land record.
Tirkey asked the CM to send a proposal for the construction of a second AIIMS at Itki Hospital Campus, where 365-acre land is available and which is hardly 15km away from the state capital. Apart from this, Tirkey during his discussion also drew the attention of the CM towards the encroachment of tribal land at Karra block, conservation of tribal language taking support of linguists and local artists.
Tirkey had raised the issue of the promotion of ST and SC. Following this, a committee was constituted to probe the matter and the committee submitted a report on this in February. Thus Tirkey during his meeting asked the CM to ensure proper action in the matter.
