Ranchi: Today, January 13, 2025, marks the celebration of Lohri in northern states like Punjab and Haryana. Despite the festivities, all public and private banks across India will remain open today, as per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar.

Lohri and Bank Operations

Lohri is primarily celebrated in northern India, but it is not designated as a bank holiday in the RBI’s January 2025 schedule. Thus, banking services will function as usual on this day.

Bank Holiday Tomorrow for Makar Sankranti

On January 14, 2025, banks will remain closed in several states due to Makar Sankranti and related festivals such as Pongal, Bhogi Pandigai, and Magh Bihu.
