Barkagaon MLA meets electricity dept MD over power cuts by DVC in many districts

Ramgarh, Jan 18: Barkagaon MLA Amba Prasad today met the Chairman cum Managing Director of Jharkhand’s Electricity Department Avinash Kumar. The meeting was regarding excessive power cuts in Hazaribagh district along with Ramgarh, Koderma, Chatra, Bokaro, Giridih and Dhanbad for the past several days.

It is to be known that since November 6, 50 percent power outages have been implemented in several districts due to payment dues of many crores of DVC on the Jharkhand government for several days.

MLA Amba Prasad drew the attention of MD Avinash Kumar to the adverse effect on the common life, education of students, industry, business, employment of laborers working in factories due to the power cuts. She demanded to get relief from power cuts at the earliest.

Listening carefully to all the above things, the MD assured the MLA that initiative is being taken in this direction to get rid of power cuts at the earliest.  In this episode, the board meeting was held on Tuesday in Hazaribagh Electricity Department and further strategy was discussed.
