Ramgarh, Aug 6: A programme was organized at Barkakana railway station on Sunday which has been included in the Amrit Bharat Station scheme. A live telecast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s program was seen.  Hazaribag Lok Sabha MP Jayant Sinha was the chief guest in the programme.  Railway officials welcomed the MP by giving bouquets in the programme.

Jayant Sinha said that the development work being done by the world’s most popular Prime Minister Narendra Modi is incomparable for India.  The Barkakana station of Ramgarh district is very important for the state and the country.  Extensive improvement is going to be done in Barkakana by Rs 33 crores under the Amrit Bharat Station scheme.  Lifts and escalators are being installed for the passengers.  The railway is going to provide every facility here.

“Today Vande Bharat Express is running on this route. We are going to bring more important trains in the future.  Koderma, Hazaribagh, Barkakana Ranchi Inter City train will run from Giridih. All will be able to travel for less than the bus fare,” he said.

The MP said that the train will connect the state capital twice a week via Barkakana-Hazaribag and people will go to Delhi from the capital on this route as well. Discussions have been held with the Railway Minister on this.

He said that the demand for Patratu Railway Overbridge was pending for a long time and a tender has been issued for the construction of the railway overbridge in Patratu.  Soon the overbridge will be ready.  Some part of the railway overbridge was to be borne by the railways and some part by the state government.  But no contribution was made by the state government.  In view of the demand of the public, the Prime Minister decided that the central government will give 100 per cent money for this overbridge.

The MP said that “there should be peace, there should be progress for all, it is our effort to make a new India.  We will complete 100 years of independence in 2047.  Will take India to second place in the economy in the next 25 years. In this Amritkal, we will make the life of every citizen even better.

After the address, the MP honoured the winners of various competitions organized by the Railways in Kendriya Vidyalaya by giving them certificates.

Amrit Bharat Station scheme includes 20 stations in Jharkhand.  Selected stations will be rejuvenated.  International-level facilities will be provided in which passenger lounge, lift, accelerator, parking, station approach road, roof plaza, city centre, food court, gaming zone for children will be made.
