BCCI announces schedule for TATA IPL 2022

Schedule for the Playoffs as well as the final match, which will take place on May 29th, will be released later

New Delhi, March 6: The schedule for the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, which will be staged in Mumbai and Pune, has been released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday.

In total, 70 league games and four playoff games will be played over the course of 65 days. The 15th season will kick off on March 26th at Wankhede Stadium with a thrilling match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. The league will have its maiden double-header on March 27th, beginning with a Day game at Brabourne between the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians.

🚨 NEWS 🚨: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule for #TATAIPL 2022 which will be held in Mumbai and Pune.

A total number of 70 league matches and 4 Playoff games will be played in the duration of 65 days.

The night match between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore will take place at the DY Patil Stadium. Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Rajasthan Royals in the inaugural game at the MCA Stadium in Pune on March 29th. Wankhede Stadium and DY Patil Stadium will host 20 matches apiece, while Brabourne and MCA International Stadium in Pune will host 15 matches each.

There will be a total of 12 double headers, with the opening match beginning at 3:30 p.m. IST. At 7:30 p.m. IST, all evening matches will begin. The last game of the league round will be contested on May 22nd at the Wankhede Stadium between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings. The schedule for the Playoffs as well as the TATA IPL 2022 final, which will take place on May 29th, will be released later.
