Bhopal, Dec 14: Actor Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s sizzling chemistry in the song ‘Besharam Rang’ landed the film ‘Pathaan’ in trouble with Madhya Pradesh minister Dr Narottam Mishra. The minister fumed over the use of saffron costumes in the film. He also said that the film contains some objectionable scenes, and threatened to ban Pathaan in Madhya Pradesh if those shots are not replaced.
MP minister Narottam Mishra threatened to not let Pathaan release in the state if the outfits and scenes are not changed in the film. He said that the costumes and scenes should be corrected or deleted, then only would it be worth considering Pathaan for release in MP.
pic.twitter.com/Ekl20ClY75— Dr Narottam Mishra (@drnarottammisra) December 14, 2022
He said the bikini seen in the song is ‘highly objectionable’ and it is clearly visible that this song was filmed out of a ‘contaminated mentality’. He also alleged ‘Deepika Padukone has been a supporter of the ‘tukde-tukde gang’ as seen in the JNU case.’
Earlier, in October, the minister had also warned the makers of the Bollywood film ‘Adipurush’, based on the Ramayana, of legal action if scenes showing Hindu religious figures in the wrong way are not removed.
The film ‘Pathaan’, an action thriller, which is scheduled for release on January 25. Pathaan’s first song, Besharam Rang, had generated much hype even before its release. Be it Deepika Padukone’s uber-glamorous pictures in swimsuits, and SRK donning the man bun and flaunting a chiselled physique, fans loved it all. The song was released on December 12.
