New Delhi, Dec 11: Bhupendra Patel, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), will take the oath of office as Gujarat’s Chief Minister for a second consecutive term on Monday in Gandhinagar, in the company of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries. After winning 156 seats in Gujarat, the BJP achieved a landslide victory, but the true difficulty now is to maintain a balance between regions, castes, ages, and abilities.
Bhupendra Patel’s new cabinet is anticipated to include both experienced members and up-and-comers. According to information obtained by India Today, the Cabinet is likely to include Harsh Sanghavi, Minister of State for Home, who won from Surat’s Majura for a third straight term, and Alpesh Thakor, who won from Gandhinagar South.
Devabhai Punjabhai Malam from Keshod, Bhikhusinhji Chatursinhji Parmar from Modasa, and Praful Panseriya from Kamrej are also vying for a spot in Patel’s cabinet.
The list of contenders for inclusion in the newly formed Gujarati government cabinet also includes the names of prominent OBC leaders Ganpatsinh Vestabhai Vasava (Mangrol), Naresh Patel (Gandevi), Jitu Chaudhary, PC Baranda (Bhiloda), Kuberbhai Mansukhbhai Dindor (Santrampur), and Darshna Chandubhai Deshmukh (Nando The government may also include patidar leaders Rushikesh Patel (Visnagar), Radhavji Patel (Jamnagar Rural), Vinu Moradia (Katargam), and Jayesh Vitthalbhai Radadiya (Jetpur).
The other MLAs who are likely to be included are Rushikesh Ganeshbhai Patel (Visnagar), Kanubhai Desai(Sanand), Raghavji Patel(Jamnagar Rural), Kunvarji Bavaliya(Jasdan), Mulubhai Bera (Khambhalia),Balwant Singh Rajput (Sidhpur), Purushottam Solanki (Bhavnagar Rural), Mukesh Patel(Olpad), Bhanuben Manoharbhai Babariya (Rajkot Rural), Bachubhai Khabad, Kuberbhai Mansukhbhai Dindor (Santarampur).
