Birsa Munda airport is 2nd best in all-India customers satisfaction ranking

Ranchi, March 31: Birsa Munda Airport has been adjudged as the second best in all India Customer Satisfaction ranking on the basis of a survey done during April 2022 to March 2023. The Airport Authority of India (AAI) had organized the survey with the help of an independent private agency. Udaipur Airport was adjudged the best in the country.

Airport director K.L.Agrawal, who received the award on behalf of Birsa Munda Airport in a programme organized by Airport Authority of India (AAI) at New Delhi on Friday, confirmed the achievement today when contacted over telephone.

“Credit of the success goes to all of his airport staff. Next time we will make all attempts to secure first position in the country,” Agrawal said, confirming the achievement.

As many as 52 airports providing service to domestic passengers were surveyed. As many as 50 criteria were fixed for the survey. Those criteria included staff behaviour, cleanliness, shopping facility, parking arrangement, restaurant service and ground staff facilities besides others.

Named after tribal icon Birsa Munda, Jharkhand capital’s airport is the 19th busiest airport of the country. It sprawls over an area of 1568 acre and is used by more than 1.2 million passengers annually.
