Dhanbad, Sept 28: First-year student Abhinandan Hansda was awarded with the prestigious ‘ Guess the Car’ award in the orientation programme organized by SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) India BIT Sindri.
The orientation programme was organized by the members of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) India of BIT Sindri chapter for the newly enrolled 2023 batch students in the Deshpande Auditorium.
Aadil Shamim, the current chairperson of SAE India BIT Sindri, awarded Abhinandan Hansda and emphasized the benefits of SAE India membership. The current secretaries of SAE India BIT Sindri, Aditya Kumar Mandal and Aditya Gautam, were also present on the occasion.
The organizers said the orientation began with a PowerPoint presentation, skillfully delivered by the current SAE members. It offered a comprehensive introduction to SAE India BIT Sindri, imparting valuable insights about the organization.
In the programme, invitations were extended to new students to explore SAE’s workshops, generating a positive response and keen interest in joining the organization.
The event concluded with the presentation of a captivating quadcopter prototype, leaving the audience astonished. The orientation was conducted under the guidance of the Director of BIT Sindri Dr Pankaj Rai, Prof Dr RK Verma and SAE India BIT Sindri Professor-in-charge, Manoj Kumar and Ranjan Kumar.
The organizers said the orientation successfully introduced the incoming batch to the world of automobiles and SAE India, fostering enthusiasm and creativity among the students.
