Ranchi, Aug.16: BJP state president Babulal Marandi today alleged Jharkhand chief minister and his family members of changing their identity to get tribal land transferred in their names.

Mentioning the names recorded in the document, former chief minister Marandi said chief minister Hemant Soren has become Hemant Kumar Soren; Durga Soren has become Durga Prasad Soren and Basant Soren has become Basant Kumar Soren and Shibu Soren has become Shiv Soren to get Munda land registered in the name of Shibu Soren’s three sons, Hemant, Basant and Durga.

Marandi was addressing a press conference at the party office in Harmu. He shared the information with documentary evidence saying it was useless to expect any freedom from corruption in the state during Hemant Soren’s rule. He dared Hemant Soren to face the Enforcement Directorate if he was clean.

Paying tribute to Bharat Ratna former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary, Marandi remembered him as the creator of Jharkhand. “The formation of a separate state of Jharkhand on November 15, 2000, the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda, is the gift of respected Atal ji,” he said.

On the occasion, he also informed about his 40-day Sankalp Yatra saying that the journey will start from land of the great martyrs of the state, Sido Kanho, Chand Bhairav and Phulo Jhano, who sacrificed their lives while fighting the British to protect the self-respect and honour of the state’s water, forest land, from Bhognadih, the birthplace of such great personalities.
