Ranchi, March 5: Former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi on Sunday levelled serious allegations against Rajeev Arun Ekka, Principal Secretary to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. He accused Ekka of visiting the house of Vishal Choudhary to settle the files.
Notably, the ED had raided Chaudhary’s premises sometime back in the wake of IAS officer Pooja Singhal’s episode.

Marandi, the BJP legislature party chief, released a video clip at a press conference and said, “The Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister is handling the files at the house of Vishal Chaudhary. In the video, the woman standing next to Rajeev Arun Ekka is Vishal Choudhary’s employee.”
Marandi further said that the BJP would meet the Governor regarding this and demand an inquiry into the matter. He said that the BJP will hand over all the evidence to the ED officials and demand an inquiry into the matter.
He also demanded that Ekka be removed from the post without delay and an FIR be lodged against him.
Releasing the video to media personnel, Marandi said that the video clip is from Choudhary’s office. “The Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister is handling the government work in the office of ED suspect Vishal Chaudhary. The Principal Secretary of the government crossed all limits. The woman seen in the video is not a government official but a private employee of Choudhary. A voice is also clearly heard in the video, wherein money is being mentioned,” added Marandi.
Further questioning the role of Ekka, who also happens to be the home secretary, he pointed out that if such is the manner of work, it can be imagined how work is being done in other departments of the government. “If investigated, a surprising picture will emerge,” claimed the BJP leader.
The senior BJP leader also said that two AK-47s of the security personnel engaged in the Chief Minister’s security were found from power broker Prem Prakash’s house. Now Ekka is seen clearing files in the office of ED suspect Vishal Choudhary. He added that there are other such officers in the state who are involved in corruption. “CM Soren says that ‘We are tribals, which is why BJP is working to trap us.’ But if the CM works to save the culprits, then higher agencies will need to investigate. Marandi demanded that the CM himself get the entire matter investigated by the CBI.
