Ranchi, Feb.28: The BJP today cornered the government on the issue of corruption and security during a debate on the governor’s speech in the assembly.
Party’s chief whip and Bokaro MLA Biranchi Narayan dubbing the governor’s speech as a ‘Jhooth ka pulinda (bundle of falsehood)’ said that right from poor tribal girls to prominent doctors engaged in saving the life of others all are unsafe in the state.
Narayan while cornering the state government on the issue of security mentioned an attack on an orthopaedic of Jharkhand capital, Dr Anchal Kumar, at his residence and explained how several doctors earlier came under attack in Petarwar, Hazaribagh and Garhwa.
“Morale of criminals is so high that girls are being burnt alive and cut into pieces but the government is busy in following policy of appeasement.” He said that two days ago a mob lynched a youth after a road accident but the 12 CCTV cameras installed at the location could not record anything.
Sharing a statement of former Congress legislator Yogendra Sao, Narayan said that there is connivance between criminals and officers and they have 50-50 partnership. He said when ex-Senior Superintendent of Police of Ranchi Surendra Kumar Jha attempted to control rioters in Main Road he was shunted. Among those who came under attack by criminals include police sub inspector Rupa Tirkey and Sandhya Topno besides others.
While talking about the corruption he mentioned names of suspended senior IAS officer Pooja Singhal, suspended chief engineer of water resource and rural works division chief engineer Vidrendra Ram, chief minister Hemant Soren’s MLA representative Pankaj Mishra, Prem Prakash, Dahu Yadav, Bacchu Yadav, Amit Agrawal and Bibhuti Kumar besides others and asked government to explain their identity.
The BJP legislator said two AK-47 assault rifles were recovered from the residence of Prem Prakash but no FIR was registered in the matter while two police personnel were suspended. Similarly, no FIR has been filed against Pooja Singhal.
