Ranchi, October 1: BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member Deepak Prakash demanded Rs 50 lakh and a job as compensation to the next of kin of assistant police personnel, Pushpa Kullu, who died while agitating for her service regularization with several others like her at Morabadi ground.

Prakash held state government responsible for her death saying the agitation was pre-planned and well into the knowledge of state government but the government did not take any action into the matter compelling all assistant police personnel including women with babies in their lap to pass a rainy night in open Morabadi ground.

He said that this incident has exposed the anti-human face of the state government and in this situation each worker of the BJP expresses his or her solidarity with the agitating assistant police personnel, who extend their service on a consolidated remuneration of Rs 10, 000 per month and 18 day leave.

Kullu died at Gumla, where she was taken after she fainted at Morabadi on Wednesday. Her colleague said the lady was suffering from a renal problem and was unable to go for treatment due to the high cost. She was participating in the agitation with a hope to get some money after regularization of her job.
