New Delhi, July 9: The news has come that the meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) under the leadership of BJP will be held on 18th July. BJP has started preparing for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. According to the information, Ajit Pawar of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) along with Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde will also attend this meeting. Chirag Paswan of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) is also said to be attending the meeting.
If sources are to be believed, BJP has also given consent to Janata Dal (S), Om Prakash Rajbhar’s Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party and Mukesh Sahni’s (Bihar) Vikassheel Insaan Party to join its fold. Upendra Kushwaha can also attend this meeting. However, till now these parties are in a condition of wait and watch.
Rajya Sabha MP Praful Patel can attend the meeting on behalf of Ajit Pawar-led NCP. Experts say that due to the split in Shiv Sena and now NCP, the position of NDA is looking strong in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra.
Sources say that the BJP has also decided to take back Chirag Paswan who is the sole successor of his late father and Dalit leader Ram Vilas Paswan. LJP is considered to be the party of Dusadhs/Paswans in Bihar. Their population in Bihar is said to be about 4.5 per cent. Amidst the changing developments, Jitan Ram Manjhi, another Dalit leader in Bihar, has recently joined the NDA. Notably, BJP is also churning with its two former allies (Telugu Desam Party and Shiromani Akali Dal)
