Ranchi, April 28: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and former chief minister Babulal Marandi claimed that Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s close aide Pankaj Mishra used the correspondence address of the Sahibgunj SDO in his applications for mining lease.
The district mining department had issued a mining license in favour of Sarwashree Mahakal Stone Works at Mauja Gilmari on an area of 6.25 acres in Sahibganj. The company is owned by Pankaj Mishra and the lease was approved in March last year.
Pankaj Mishra’s correspondence address mentions SDO Kothi, Sakrugadh, and Sahibganj. Pankaj Mishra is the local representative of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
“Whether the SDO Kothi is a government building or @HemantSorenJMM you purchased it? Or the constitution of India gives the special right to your coteries to do business with government officials?” Nishikant Dubey tweeted.
However, the allegation created a rustle and one more piece of evidence of the growing power of Pankaj Mishra has become public. Local residents claimed that Pankaj Mishra’s residence is situated close to the SDO Kothi and the very building may have been used as a landmark.
But Nishikant Dubey slammed those who accused him of creating the sensation. He posted the AADHAR Card address of Pankaj Mishra as proof.
“Pankaj Mishra has used SDO Kothi as his address. SDO Kothi is not a colony. This is a government building. As per his AADHAR card, he mentions his address as ‘near SDO Kothi’ not SDO Kothi. There is a difference between SDO Kothi and near SDO Kothi.
Babulal Marandi retweeted the tweet of the MP and said that these people have become audacious.
“Chief Minister, see the audacity of these chamchas of yours. You too secretly obtained a stone mining lease. But out of shame, you did not put your official address on Kanke Road. You put the address of Harmu Road, where you do not live at all. But this man obtained the mining lease while using the address of the SDO of Sahibganj.”
