Jamshedpur, Dec 9: After struggling for life for the last two days, district general secretary of Bharatiya Janata  Yuva Morcha ( BJYM ) Suraj Kumar Singh succumbed to injuries during the course of treatment at Tata Main Hospital on Thursday morning.

The senior  BJYM functionary was attacked by a group of youths at Bagbera near Tatanagar railway station allegedly over some loan-related dispute on Tuesday night.

The seriously injured BJYM leader was rushed to the Tata Main Hospital for treatment.
Yesterday, Sonu Singh, one of the main accused in the case, had surrendered before police and had admitted the crime. Sonu was sent to jail while police detained two other youths who were being interrogated.
Senior SP of  East Singhbhum  Tamil Vannan has ordered a thorough probe into the case.
The news of the death of the BJYM leader spread like a wildfire and local BJP leaders started pouring in at the hospital.
On Wednesday BJP district president Gunjan Yadav alongwith his supporters had staged a dharna outside the office of the senior SP demanding arrest of the culprits involved in the case.
