Jamshedpur, Sept 11: Police today recovered the body of an 11-year-old boy Sujit Gorai, who was missing from his home at Kumrum Basti in Mango.

Sujit was missing since Friday afternoon. His body was found from a nearby hillock located around 500 metres from his house.

According to Mango police, after getting information about a body they went to the spot and identified the body as that of Sujit, who had been missing since yesterday.

Police have begun a probe. They also did not rule out the possibility of a suspected murder.

Sujit’s parents work as daily wagers. When they returned home yesterday, they found their son missing from home.

After a frantic search, they reported the matter to the police. A missing report was lodged by the parents at the Mango police station.

Police have started interrogating a section of local residents to get a lead into the suspected murder case.

The body was sent to MGM Medical College in Dimna for a post-mortem.

Police said things will more clear when they get the post-mortem report.
