Bokaro doctor files FIR against husband in Dhanbad

Dhanbad Sept 1: A lady doctor of Bokaro has lodged an FIR against her medico husband for torturing and demanding dowry in Dhanbad Saraidhela police station.

The lady doctor( Dr) Amrita Sinha, mother of 16 years old girl, has in her complaint to Saraidhela police station, charged that her husband Dr Ritesh Sinha, who runs a nursing home in Bokaro,  used to abuse and beat up her for Rs 50 lakh as dowry.

In her complaint to the police, Dr Amrita Sinha, who was also practicing in her husband’s  nursing home in Bokaro, has made her mother-in-law Dr Madhuri Sinha, sister–in–law Dr Priyanka Sinha and  Payal Sinha and others as accused in the FIR.

Saraidhela police station officer in-charge Kishore Tirki on Wednesday admitted to have received the complaint against Bokaro doctors. “ Proper action would be initiated after investigation,” he said.

Dr Amrita Sinha, who is living at her parents’ house in  Basant Vihar Colony under Saraidhela police station of Dhanbad in her FIR  has said that her marriage was solemnized with Dr  Ritesh Sinha in 1999 and has a 16 years old daughter.  Being a medical practitioner, she also began practicing  in her husband’s nursing home after marriage.

After a few years behaviour of  her husband and his family changed. They began demanding a dowry of Rs 50 lakh. On March 12, 2021 her husband without any reason  began abusing and beat up. Police were called up and  matter was settled.

Being rattled by daily torture, she came to Dhanbad at her father’s house. When the school of her daughter opened, she went to Bokaro on August 23 but the mother in –law did not allow her to enter house. She returned back to Dhanbad. On August  29 her husband along with two accomplices came to Dhanbad and beat up her for Rs 50 lakh.
Dr Ritesh and his family members did not receive call of media persons in Bokaro-based nursing home.
