Ranchi/Bokaro: Jharkhand has lost a daughter in a devastating hotel fire at Malviya Nagar in Delhi. Surabhi Kumari, 26, a resident of Jainamod in Bokaro district and daughter of local businessman Ramesh Prasad Barnwal, died in the tragic incident while she had gone to the capital for a job interview with a Tata Group company.

Engineering Graduate Pursuing Better Opportunities

According to family members, Surabhi had completed her engineering degree and was working at a private company in Mumbai. Hoping to advance her career, she had travelled to Delhi to appear for an interview with a Tata Group company. After arriving in the capital, she spent the night at her elder sister’s home and proceeded to the hotel in Malviya Nagar the following day at the scheduled interview time.

Fire Broke Out During the Interview

It is reported that the hotel caught fire suddenly while the interview was underway. The blaze rapidly spread and engulfed the premises, trapping Surabhi in the inferno. Despite all efforts, her life could not be saved.

Family and Community in Shock

The news of Surabhi’s untimely death has left her family devastated. A wave of grief has spread across Jainamod and the surrounding areas, with relatives, friends, and neighbours deeply shaken by the tragedy.
