Bokaro, July 23: Private security guard Narayan Gop alias Madan Yadav (55 years), posted on duty in the residential colony of multinational company Orica, located in Gomia of Bokaro district, died under suspicious circumstances in the early hours of July 23. He was a resident of Gomiya Chowdhary Tola. He was on night shift duty.
At five in the morning, when the people of the colony went out for a walk, they saw him lying unconscious on the post. On the information of the people, the CMO of Ardeer Hospital, who lives in the colony, conducted further investigation on the spot. After this, the guard was taken to Ardeer Hospital in an unconscious state, where the doctor declared him brought dead. Relatives and villagers jammed the company gate with the dead body demanding compensation.
As soon as the incident was reported, hundreds of people gathered at the gate. Gomia MLA Dr Lambodar Mahato, Zip Member Dr Surendra Raj, Congress Block President Pankaj Pandey, Gomia Chief Balram Rajak, Sasbeda West Panchayat Chief Shanti Devi, Arun Yadav, Prabhu Swarnakar, Pansas Janak Dev Yadav, Rohit Yadav, Rajkumar Yadav, Pintu Paswan and a large number of local people reached the spot and demanded proper compensation to the family. To handle the situation, a large number of police forces including Gomia Circle Inspector Mahesh Prasad Singh, IEL station in-charge Abhishek Mahto, Gomia police station under-inspector Sandeep Bhagat, Kathara OP in-charge Prince Kumar were deployed at the company’s gate.
Security guard Narayan Gop alias Madan Yadav was posted in A type of residential colony. Due to the non-availability of the assistant guard, he was doing duty since two o’clock on Saturday. In between, he went home for a while and got fresh and took over the duty again at 10 pm.
