Daltonganj, Dec. 20: The British Church of Christ, commonly known as the Union Church, in Daltonganj has strengthened its Sunday school in the church premises.

Father Prabhu Ranjan Masih of the church said today that small children accompany their parents who come to the church. These children play around and make noises that disturb the priest as well as the gathering.

“We felt that these children need to be kept engaged and thus started the Sunday school for one hour as it is the day of the Mass,” Masih said.

“We have now readied our Sunday school where children who come with their parents are made to sit and hear stories of Holy Jesus Christ,” he added.

The children are in the age group of 6 to 16. They are also taught about the happenings around the society.

Dr. S S Horo, a noted gynaecologist said, “We pooled funds and strengthened our Sunday school where children are taught things of social value.”

“Our session with children is interesting as we don’t load them with dos and don’ts as then children will get fidgety,” she added.
