BSEB 10th result: 79.88% students pass, Aurangabad’s Ramayani Roy tops

Patna, March 31: The Matriculation results for the state of Bihar have been released. At a press conference attended by Bihar Education Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) revealed the results.

In comparison to last year, the outcomes improved by a slim margin of 1.71 percent this year. Ramayani Roy, a student from Patel High School in Daudnagar, Bihar, took first place in the state with 97.40 percent.

“Ramayani Roy from Patel High School Dawoodnagar in Aurangabad stood first with 487/500 marks (97.40%). Saniya Kumari and Vivek Kumar Thakur stood second with 486/500 marks 97.20% and Pragya Kumar stood third with 485/500 marks (97%),” said Bihar Board Chairman Anand Kishor.

A total of 16,11,099 students sat for the BSEB’s matriculation exams, with 12,86,971 declared qualified.

This year, 4,24, 857 students received first division, 5,10, 411 students received second division, and 3,47, 637 students received third division.

Last year, 78.17 percent of students passed the BSEB 10th exam, compared to 80.59 percent in 2020. However, the pass rate has increased significantly since 2016, when it was only 44.66 percent. The pass rate in 2017 was 50.12 percent, 68.89 percent in 2018, and 80.73 percent in 2019.
