Ramgarh, April 24: The convocation was ceremony organised at the Border Security Force Meru Camp in Hazaribagh on Sunday. A total of 370 new constables from batch numbers 156 and 157 of the BSF participated in this programme organised at Rani Jhansi Parade Ground. All of them are from Assam, Kerala, Telangana, Jammu and Kashmir and Puducherry. After 44 weeks of hard work, perseverance and completing basic training, they joined the convocation parade.
Union Minister of State for Education Annapurna Devi attended the convocation ceremony as the chief guest. She inspected the parade and took the salute. The new constables participating in the convocation parade took an oath to dedicate themselves to uphold the unity, integrity, and sovereignty of the nation before the National Flag and the Constitution. A total of 1486 new constables are being provided basic training in Meru Camp from April 2021. After the completion of basic training, the convocation parade of four batches was completed on March 5th, 25th, and April 8th.
This was the last convocation parade of the year for 370 new constables.
All the new constables became members of the BSF after today’s convocation parade,” said Annapurna Devi.
Addressing his family members, she said that by sending their sons to the Border Security Force, they have made an important contribution in the work of service to the country. She congratulated the team of skilled instructors of the Assistant Training Center for successfully imparting training.
Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya located in Meru Camp organized a grand cultural program, which was highly appreciated by the attendees. At the end, an awe-inspiring bike stunt performance was performed by the Jabanj team of BSF. On this occasion, representatives of Hazaribagh, BSF officers, subordinate officers, and their family members were also present.
