New Delhi, April 3: Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha proceedings have been adjourned till 2 pm amid opposition ruckus.
After readings of the recent deaths of incumbent MP Girish Bapat and former MP Innocent, Lok House proceedings were suspended until 2 p.m. on Monday.
Innocent, a previous independent MP from the Chalakudy seat in Thrissur, died on March 26 while Bapat, a serving BJP MP from Pune, died on March 29.
On the other hand, Monday’s pre-lunch session of the Rajya Sabha was postponed due to a commotion caused by Congress and other opposition party MPs calling for a Joint Parliamentary Investigation into the allegations against the Adani Group.
Notably, the budget session of Parliament was resumed today after a four-day break. Earlier, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned on March 29 amid uproar by opposition over Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification as MP.
