Having broken open the door lock, the burglars had broken a steel almirah from where they took away the ornaments and also Rs 15,000 cash kept in it.
In this connection, Gupta lodged an FIR with the Telco police station against unknown persons on Saturday morning.
The Telco thana OC, Ajay Kumar confirmed the burglary at the IS&WP company officer’s residence.
“We have picked up Gupta’s maid and his cook for interrogation as such crime cannot be conspired without the involvement of someone close to the family. We will solve the case soon,” said the OC.
