Ranchi, May 8: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) completed three hours’ question session with businessmen Vishnu Agrawal, whose name surfaced during probe of laundering of money earned by illegal business of land in Jharkhand capital in connivance with a 2011 batch IAS officer Chhavi Ranjan, who was Ranchi DC during the deal in between 2020-2022.
The session started at 11am and ended at 2pm.
Agrawal was questioned about his land deal on Cheshire Home Road. According to reports, the land was first delisted from the prohibited category before being registered and mutated in the name of Agrawal and his wife under the influence of Ranjan in exchange for Rs one crore and a Goa trip arranged by Agrawal.
The second session is expected to start after an hour-long gap. During this session, the ED has planned presence of Ranjan who is in ED remand following Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) special court.
