New Delhi, Aug 13: In Canada’s British Columbia, a Hindu temple was vandalized, and Khalistan referendum posters were stuck onto the temple’s main door late on Saturday night.
The poster read, “Canada investigates India’s role in June 18th assassination”. A picture of Hardeep Singh Nijjar was also featured on the door poster.
In Canada’s Surrey, the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara Sahib was led by Hardeep Singh Nijjar. On the evening of June 18, he was murdered by two unknown guys while on the gurdwara’s property. He served as the leader of the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF), a separatist group.
Lakshmi Narayan Mandir in Surrey, which has been vandalized, is one of the largest and oldest Hindu temples in British Columbia.
This is the third time this year that a temple has been vandalized in Canada.
